Randi started riding colts when she was in high school and continued to do so as she attended classes at the University of Montana – Western where she attained a teaching degree. She has always preferred her classrooms to be made of dirt, however, so she pursued teaching young horses instead of young students.
Nick has worked as a beef nutrition consultant since 2013. His cow herd consists of Angus and Hereford cows. He runs Black Hereford bulls. The cows are on a rotational grazing system. He uses border collies to help with rotating cows at home. Nick uses border collies to help with the rotational grazing as well as trialing. They retain as many steers as they can to sell direct to consumer or through their Double Cross Ranch Store.
Randi and her husband, Nick, live in the Mission Valley in Montana where they raise quarter horses, cows, and border collies.
